Speech: 5G impact on Optics, Fronthaul and Backhaul

5G mobile technology promises to change how humans and enterprise interact with technology. Its higher bandwidth capability and much lower latency (than 4G) enables new applications like virtual reality, autonomous vehicles, and industrial automation. This increased bandwidth and lower latency will drive greater densification with reliance on more high-speed optical components and Ethernet technology. This presentation will highlight market trends along with the key technologies needed in the front-haul, mid-haul and back-haul networks that will enable 5G deployment.  Technologies to be discussed will include 25G E-CPRI, direct fiber connection, and optical and routing technology.
